Transformers
“You are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus….There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all Christians--you are one in Christ Jesus.”
--Galatians 3:26, 28
The name of our children’s church is Transformers because our young people want to be changed by a deep relationship and by real encounters with the Most High God. Being close to Him transforms us to be like Him since we are like the ones that we are with. Our focus is on Jesus, and we desire to seek Him first and set our eyes on Him because He saved us and adopted us so that we can say, “Abba, Father” to the Almighty. And also, our King and Friend Jesus let us be sealed by His very life and presence and power and truth Who is the Holy Spirit. We want our young ones to know God intimately and be established by His truth and moved by His love. Our desire is to be overflowingly full of His love and to pour it onto each other, and onto the world around us. Our God’s name is LOVE, so we want our children to be firm and enveloped in this love.
We let the children lead and use their spiritual gifts to build each other up because we want our children to understand that we all need each other and that each of us has something to offer--regardless of size, mental ability, age, etc. Because of that, they learn how to function and how to be the family and body like the Scriptures describe us as . There is a group of about ten young (10-14 yrs) and matured people who are leading the younder ones by an example of humble, sincere love. They are also taking on disciple-friend-relationships with their peers.
Transformers is for young people from the age of 6 to 12.
God is transforming our lives by His love,
Which He showed to us by giving us Jesus--
Who died in our place so that we can live forever
And He left us the mission of changing people’s hearts to our Father.
We need God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we can bring peace and renewal;
We do this by getting closer, serving, and giving all we have to each other.
We are the Transformers, transforming this generation!
We are more than what meets the eyes.
-Written and inspired by the children’s leaders as a proclamation of who He is and who we are.
Come as you are!
